Shahid Kapoor Staring Kabir Singh Earns Rs 20 Cr On Its First Day

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starring movie Kabir Singh which was released on 21 June has earn Rs 20 Cr on his first day.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Kabir Singh Shahid Kapoor’s biggest opener ever. Surpassing the business of Ranveer starrer Padmaavat, which earned Rs 19 crores on day 1, Kabir Singh has roped in Rs 20.21 crore.

Kabir Singh has also crossed the opening day figures of other 2019 films that have released on regular, non-holiday Fridays.

Kabir Singhis a remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Arjun Reddy was directed by Sandeep Vanga who is also directing the remake. 

Kabir Singh stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Kabir Singh is the story of a medical student who falls in love with a fellow student, played by Kiara Advani. When the latter leaves Kabir, the protagonist begins spiraling into a self-destructive void.
