Google Honors Bollywood Legend Amrish Puri On His 87th Birth Anniversary

Google has honored the Bollywood legendary actor Amrish Puri today. On the occasion of his 87th birth anniversary. Google put on a befitting illustration of Amrish Puri honored his Legacy.

The Google doodle was made by a Pune based guest artist Debangshu Moulik.

Amrish Puri is known for his iconic and some of the most memorable roles as a villain in innumerable movies in the Indian cinema. He is best known for his role in the 1987 superhero film Mr. India,which starred Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, but he actually has a long list of great films to his name.

Born in Punjab on this day in 1932. Amrish Puri made his Bollywood debut in 1971 with Reshma Aur Shera. His Hollywood debut came with the release of award-winning film Gandhi, in which he played the supporting role of Khan.

During his lifetime he has worked in over 200 films across various other languages like Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil as well.
